A spa menu can sometimes feel as enticing as the menu at a five star restaurant… you WANT to try it all!!! Well, you can (over the course of time), but how do you choose the treatment you want today?
A great trick for not getting caught up in the variety of treatments is to think about what you’re craving before you look at the menu (similar to the idea not going food shopping when you’re hungry). Think about what you want to feel like when you leave. Ask yourself some key questions:
With these goals in mind,open your menu (or your screen). Don’t get caught up in choosing only ONE treatment just yet. Note the first five that fit your list of goals and then edit them from there.
Now that you have your top five treatments in mind email, call or come in to talk with one of the spa therapists about what you’re looking for. Communication with your therapist is important!
Tell her/him what your goals are and what treatments you have in mind so far. Talking out the process of each treatment will help you narrow the list further.
At this point you might have found THE ONE (for now anyway) but if not don’t stress, that would be missing the point!
If you still have all five initial treatments on your list then take a bit of time to think it over, one might stick out in your mind. If you’restill having trouble picking between two or three on your list, consider doubling them up in one luxurious spa day or book each of them a few weeks apart. Unlike other commitments you’re not obligated to stick with just one treatment for the rest of your life and treating yourself doesn’t have to be a one-time event. Actually, like showering, we recommend spa treatments regularly!
